When an emergency requires the rapid evacuation of a baby room, staff need to move children quickly while keeping them safe, comfortable, and supervised. The Baby Evacuation Trolley provides a practical and professional solution for two staff members to evacuate up to six children (max. 75kg) in complete safety.

The main compartment features three sections. This allows standing toddlers to travel alongside babies who need to lie down. Once outside, the trolley provides a clean, secure, and comfortable space for children while the emergency is managed. A dedicated pocket can also holds the register, allowing the trolley to serve as the main assembly point and help the evacuation run smoothly.

Developed in conjunction with Nottinghamshire Fire Service, the trolley is built for reliable, everyday use. Its strong steel frame and large industrial castors for long-lasting durability, while brakes at both ends offer added stability and safety. The compartments use wipe-clean fabrics, making them quick and easy to maintain.

For immediate access, the trolley folds against a wall in the baby room using the supplied Velcro straps. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use (must not be permanently left outdoors).

Best-practice emergency procedures require a rapid evacuation without re-entry into the building. To achieve this with the normal supervision ratio of 1:3 in a baby room, staff are brought in from other areas of the nursery during an evacuation. Once outside, staff must also ensure babies remain safe, comfortable, and accounted for. The Baby Evacuation Trolley provides a reliable solution, helping nurseries plan for these challenges and respond quickly when every second matters.
